Overview and Status Report

The vision for the Carsey-Wolf Center for Film, Television, and New Media includes a vibrant program of teaching, research and programs already taking place, as well as the expansion and enhancement of our program with the creation of a new home for the Center. 4,000-5,000 students annually (out of a total student body of 20,000) take a course related to the center's mission. This has been recognized as one of the fastest growing areas of the campus.

The Carsey-Wolf Center with its free-standing Pollock Theater will be located both within and adjacent to the new Social Science & Media Building. These buildings are part of a larger complex, totaling 126,000 asf, including the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education. By combining a state-funded major capital project with a donor-funded component, we are leveraging state dollars and achieving economies of scale.

The total project budget for the complex is $101M.
